NISSAN knowingly moved a number of employees to Tennessee with the knowledge that they would be fired within a year.
“In a series of planning meetings in which decisions of outsourcing various functions were made the company decided that India would take over much of the call center volume would not be ready until some 8-10 months after the move to Tennessee was completed and it was brought to the attention of Jim Morton (Mr. Ghosn's right hand-man) that Nissan would be moving some 60-70 employees, and then firing them when the Indian company came on-line. People pointed out to Morton that it was morally and ethically wrong to move people 1800 miles from their homes, only to fire them within a year. Morton's response to comments "we can't afford the disruption to our business." told to Sharyn Bovat by a viewer of her blog...this has been confirmed by several others.
“The Nissan ‘Good Ole Boys’ were aligned with those connected people that “fund” the Tea Party movement. FYI- The movement which started out as a ‘taxpayer revolt’ was pirated by those connected southern political extremist. I believe the people that joined the Tea Party have a "pure" agenda and want fair government with less regulations. Tea Partier;s have been hurt by the bad economy are they are patriotic hard working Americans”....Sharyn Bovat
Many people respect Jim Demint and I respect that: Below was written in the winter of 2010:
Bovat’s Word of the Day connects to this weeks “theme” of linking the "right hand man" of Mr. Ghosn to Mr. Morton to the Tea Party.

Sen. DeMint champions 'tea party' candidates

A day after Christine O'Donnell's surprising victory in Delaware's Republican primary for Senate last week, Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) complained in a closed-door meeting among GOP senators that the party was pushing away moderates. Other Senate Republicans offered careful, measured endorsements of their new candidate, while top GOP operatives privately questioned whether the party should invest money in Delaware with the controversial O'Donnell as its nominee.
But one senator bounded out of the same meeting with a smile on his face and comments full of praise for the conservative woman who vanquished the more moderate Rep. Mike Castle (R-Del.).
"What happened in Delaware is a good thing and an important thing," said Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.). "I'm excited about it. What's going to happen now is, win or lose, we are fighting for the right cause."
Many Republicans have watched with a combination
Jim Morton…..In a “10” month period of time YOU worked as a VP of Michelin, Retired, Morton Consulting, Nissan as a SVP, Chairman, . Car Dealer, & VP Average” America would see this “Lack of transparency “ and make you slither back to your posh cave in South Carolina. Sir, I NEVER wanted to work in politics again and at the age of 45 I’ve learned to “never say never” for if YOU were to run for governor or public office I’d raise my hand to do the “hit” piece for it would be a “joy”.
